You cannot package an instrument too carefully. Please pack your instrument expecting the worst possible handling. We cannot control handling in transit.
NOTE: We recommend that if you are going to use packing peanuts, the equipment should be wrapped in plastic or placed inside a plastic bag prior to packing to provide protection against the packing material getting inside of the equipment.
Do’s
- Ship item in its upright position.
- Bubble wrap all sides before boxing.
- Box-in-a-box packaging.
- Strap or tie item to a pallet.
- Shrink wrap if possible.
Don’ts
- Don’t use hard foam for delicate instruments.
- Don’t leave cables or mounting brackets attached.
- Don’t use single-thickness cardboard boxes.
- Don’t assume the trucking company will handle your package carefully.
