- Don’t overlook the importance of Injector Port Maintenance – change your inlet seal and inlet liner on a regular basis.
- Check your roughing pump oil level on a weekly basis. Look for leaks and listen for unusual noises – clear signs that your pump may not be performing as it should.

Biochrom LTD., located in Cambridge, UK, recently
announced that GenTech Scientific will be a distributor for their new
line of Libra UV/Vis spectrophotometers and the Biochrom 30 Amino Acid
Analyzer.
The Libra range extends from a colorimeter - the Libra S2 - through visible only products - the Libra S4, S6, S11 and Libra S21. It also includes UV/Visible products - the Libra S12, S22, S32 and S32PC - and Pharmacopoeia compliant instruments - the Libra S35 and S35PC. A range of accessories and cells complement the instruments for sample handling capability, and a PC based software system, Acquire, is available. With a long history of manufacturing reliable and proven products, the Biochrom Libra range of instruments is built for longevity, ease of use and versatility. These affordable spectrophotometers are ideal for the industrial, analytical and quality control sectors of the market. Dedicated amino acid analysis is the gold standard technique for the separation of amino acids. The technique is based on ion exchange liquid chromatography with Ninhydrin detection and is used in a wide range of application areas.
